Prior to adopting a pet, there are a number of things to consider before you begin your search.
First, discuss the adoption with everyone in your household. This will help you to avoid any misunderstanding and surprises later. If you are under 18, your parant or guardian must sign the Adoption Application and Agreement.
Think about your home environment and whether it is suitable for a pet. If so, what kind of pet would work best?
Consider the lifelong expenses regarding your pets healthcare and feeding. Even dog biscuits and catnip can add up over time.
Remember that animals, like people, have their own personalities and behaviors. Even a well trained, good tempered animal can sometimes be challenging. A good pet owner is a patient pet owner.
